Q: What is YitYap?
A: YitYap is a cloud based communication tool developed by Lucus Labs that is supported by HTML5 based browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Q: Are video and chat Yaps secure?
A: Yes, all Yap sessions are fully end-to-end encrypted and secured. This includes both video and chat.
Q: Are video and text Yaps being recorded?
A: No, YitYap does not record any video, audio, or text chats. YitYap does capture some basic user login information as well as any comments posted after a chat but neither the video/audio nor the text chats are persisted after a Yap has ended.
Q: Can I share files with other Yappers?
A: Yes, but for computers only. To do so, simply drag and drop the file you wish to share on to the person in the video chat you wish to share with. They will then be prompted to download the file to their computer. No download takes place without the receiver of the file granting permission to download it.
Q: How do I change my user and device settings?
A: Click the menu icon in the top-left corner to access the menu. The Settings tab will become visible. There you can update your user settings as well as select your preferred device settings. Be sure to click the "Save" button after updating your user details.
Q: What do I do if I forgot my password?
A: From the login screen (https://yityap.com/login), click "Reset Password". Enter your username and email address, then click "Reset Password" again. An email will be sent to the provided email address with instructions for you to follow to reset your password.
Q: How much does YitYap cost?
A: YitYap is TOTALLY free to use.
Q: How do I sign up to use YitYap?
A: Just go to YitYap.com, press the "Start Yapping Now" button, and follow the on-screen instructions.

A: YitYap is a very simple, yet powerful, video conferencing tool that is free to use. Even though it is free, YitYap is very safe and secure. YitYap provides full end-to-end encryption on every Yap, and none of your Yaps are recorded. Furthermore, YitYap offers complete platform independence as it works on many different browsers and devices such as PC's, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. You and your fiends don't have to down load anything, you can simply just start Yapping.
Q: What devices can I Yap on?

Q: Do I have to have a Camera to Yap?
A: Yes. YitYap requires you to have a camera and microphone in order to join a room. However, you may choose to deactivate your camera and/or microphone after joining.
Q: What is required to conduct a Yap?
A: Any device that supports a HTML 5 compliant browser like Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
Q: How long can I Yap?
A: Unlimited. However, you are responsible for the cost of your data plan or internet provider service.
Q: Can I share my screen with other Yappers?
A: Yes, you can share your screen via the screen share button located at the bottom-left of your video window.
